Neurodivergent-affirming counselling with an autistic therapist
If you’ve arrived here through Neurodivergent Practitioners, you may be looking for counselling that feels genuinely understanding of neurodivergent experience — without needing to mask, over-explain, or fit yourself into expectations that don’t quite feel right.
Many people reach out after years of feeling different, misunderstood, or quietly exhausted from navigating environments that don’t align with how they naturally think or experience the world. You might be exploring autism, ADHD or neurodivergence for the first time, revisiting long-held assumptions about yourself, or simply looking for support that feels calm, respectful and non-pathologising. There is no expectation to present yourself in a particular way — you’re welcome to communicate, think, and move through conversations in whatever way feels natural to you.
A thoughtful, affirming space
I am an autistic counsellor offering person-centred therapy for adults, including those who identify as autistic, ADHD, highly sensitive, or who identify as neurodivergent in other ways.
My approach is grounded in the belief that your experiences make sense within the context of your life and nervous system. Rather than trying to fix or normalise you, counselling focuses on understanding patterns, developing insight, and supporting you in ways that feel sustainable and authentic.
Clients often describe appearing capable on the outside while internally managing:
anxiety or ongoing stress
burnout or sensory overwhelm
relationship challenges
masking fatigue
identity exploration
feeling out of step with expectations.
Together we create a calm, collaborative space where you can explore things at your own pace — without pressure to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or move faster than feels comfortable.
How I work
As both a counsellor and an autistic person, I bring professional training alongside lived experience. This often means less need to translate sensory experiences, communication styles, or the complexities of identity and belonging.
Therapy is non-directive and collaborative. You set the pace and focus, and we work together to develop deeper understanding and clarity over time.
